- Increase parent and community awareness regarding health and safety issues.
- Implement the network concept within the district community.
- Monitor community attitudes and practices regarding health and safety issues and provide input on policy issues.
TOGETHER WE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Please join others in our community in a mutual effort to benefit the children of our community and our community as a whole.
Family Guidelines
- Educate ourselves and other adults about what we can do to prepare our youth for the pressures that they will encounter.
- Emphasize and encourage the importance of common courtesy, respectful behavior, manners, positive interpersonal skills, the appreciation of diversity, and the importance of daily school attendance and homework.
- Communicate with adults to ensure that events outside our homes will be actively chaperoned and will not include the use of alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs by minors and welcome information from other adults concerning the health and safely of our youth.
- Monitor potentially negative influences on the lives of our youth (e.g. media/television).
- Serve as a positive role model, living the way we want our children to live.
- Join in an effort to know one another in order to establish a friendly, supportive atmosphere for our children.
