Mileage Reimbursement

This information is a reminder that JUNE 30 is the deadline for qualifying parents or guardians to sign-up for the Parent/Guardian State Pupil Transportation Reimbursement Program per 105 ILCS 5/29-5.2 of the Illinois School Code and Section 120.210 of 23 Illinois Administrative Code.
YOU ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO REMIND QUALIFYING PARENTS/GUARDIANS THAT IF THEY HAVE NOT PROVIDED THEIR CLAIM INFORMATION TO YOUR SCHOOL PERSONNEL FOR THE 2007-08 SCHOOL YEAR TO DO SO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Parents must provide 2007-08 Parent/Guardian State Pupil Transportation Claim information to school personnel on or before June 30, 2008. School administrators must transmit parent claim information to ISBE on or before July 31, 2008. Late transmissions will not be accepted.
If you have questions concerning the Parent/Guardian State Pupil Transportation Reimbursement claiming process, please contact Division of Funding and Disbursement Services personnel at 217/782-5256. Parent(s) or legal guardian(s) who must provide transportation to and from school because free transportation is not available for their children may be eligible to receive money from the state to help offset some of the cost.
